Drain unblocking with mechanical equipment

If water stays in a drain or backs up, we check whether the affected line belongs to the apartment or is shared by the building.

Contact us 24/7 for an urgent blocked drain. We will discuss the earliest service time according to your address and team availability.

For a standard small apartment during daytime: kitchen, washbasin or shower line 3,000 TL; toilet line 3,500 TL. Relevant shared building lines are 4,500 or 5,500 TL. The daytime unblocking fee for a wall-hung toilet drain is 4,000 TL.

Between 00:00 and 06:00, the daytime fee increases by 50%. On weekends and public holidays, normal daytime prices apply from 06:00 to 00:00. Leak and odour checks are usually scheduled during the day; contact is available 24/7, but every device-based inspection cannot be promised immediately at any hour.

Large or duplex homes, businesses, outdoor lines and work across several areas need a separate quote. We explain the scope and fee before starting. If the agreed scope stays the same, the discussed price applies; any different line or additional job is explained before that work begins.

Fees depend on the line and scope, not pipe metres. Necessary camera checks and toilet removal and refitting for unblocking are included in the agreed fee. Repair, replacement, surface reinstatement and optional flushing are separate work.

A single drain and a shared line are different jobs

Water collecting in one kitchen sink and overflow from several drains may point to different work. We ask which outlets are affected and whether neighbouring flats have symptoms. A suspected shared-line problem may require discussing access with the building manager.

Connected drains may be assessed within one operation; independent lines are treated separately. The fee is not automatically calculated from pipe length. We quote after discussing the line, access and complaint.

Mechanical work and a water-flow check

We check connections and access first; the technician chooses the method on site. For suitable toilet blockages, a suction-and-pressure pump may clear the obstruction without removing the toilet. It does not clear every blockage, and a drain machine or necessary removal may still be needed. Changing from the pump to the drain machine for the same blockage during the same visit does not add to the agreed fee. We discuss necessary access and toilet removal before the visit and obtain your permission before the work. If you stop the job by refusing access or an intervention needed for unblocking, the full previously agreed opening fee applies. Necessary camera checks and toilet removal and refitting are included in the relevant agreed unblocking fee; imaging depends on technical access.

We send water through the cleared line to check the flow. This shows the condition at the time of the check. Use or structural pipe problems can cause another blockage. We provide no guarantee against recurrence or free repeat unblocking.

If work starts but the line cannot be cleared

A broken or collapsed pipe, a hard object that cannot be removed, or a problem from public infrastructure may prevent mechanical clearing. When we have started mechanical work in these circumstances, the normal service fee explained beforehand applies. We discuss this condition before starting.

Repair or replacement of a damaged line is separate from unblocking. If the cause is identified as public infrastructure, we stop work and refer you to the relevant authority. Seeing a manhole alone does not establish that it is a public line; we assess the connection.

Optional maintenance after unblocking

Flushing may be considered separately for a suitable, sound waste pipe. It is not a compulsory part of unblocking. We explain suitability and the separate fee, then plan it only with your approval. Flushing cannot repair a broken or collapsed pipe.

Necessary checks, additional lines and repeat visits

Tell us about every affected outlet before the visit, including whether water backs up when you are not using it. On lower floors this can prompt us to investigate a shared line. We check connections and suitable access before choosing the mechanical entry point; a symptom alone does not prove which line is blocked.

Camera inspection we consider necessary for clearing the blockage, and necessary toilet removal and refitting, are included in the agreed unblocking fee for that line. There is no extra compulsory camera or toilet-removal fee. Imaging still requires a suitable entry, pipe diameter and view. Unrelated additional dismantling requested by the customer is a different scope.

If a collapse, hard object, heavily solidified deposit or public-infrastructure problem prevents clearing, the full initial agreed unblocking fee is payable. We explain the structural problem and quote any repair separately. Depending on the proposal, we may deduct the opening fee from a repair price; this is not an automatic discount.

After clearing we test the water flow and use the camera where appropriate. If we are still at the property and the original obstruction has not fully cleared, we continue without another opening fee. A further blockage call after the completed visit is a new paid service. We do not guarantee that a drain will never block again.

If separate blocked lines were disclosed on the call, the initial quote accounts for them. A previously undisclosed second independent line needs an additional agreed price. Remaining grease may justify optional flushing; a broken or poorly sloped pipe requires a different solution. We explain these findings before extra work.

Drain unblocking questions

Are unblocking and pipe replacement the same service?

No. Mechanical work to clear a blockage and repair or replacement of a damaged line are separate jobs. If repair is needed, we agree a new scope and fee.

Is there a fee if the line cannot be cleared?

After mechanical work has begun, the normal fee explained beforehand applies if a break, collapse, hard object or public infrastructure prevents completion.

Do two blocked drains in one flat count as one job?

We assess whether they are connected. Connected drains may form one operation; independent lines have separate scope.

Do I have to have the pipe flushed?

No. Flushing a suitable line is separate maintenance. We explain its price and obtain your approval before doing it.

What should I do before service arrives?

If there is overflow, stop using fixtures that send water to that drain. Note whether other drains are slow or backing up. Tell us if you have used a chemical drain cleaner. We choose the method from the line and access, and discuss scope and fees before work.

Is there a compulsory camera surcharge?

No. A camera or toilet removal is considered only when needed and technically possible. The stated fee is not calculated per metre. A separate line, repair or access job is explained and priced before it starts.

Which drain is backing up?

Contact Maryo Tesisat on 0212 909 34 97 or write on WhatsApp. Tell us the affected drain, the condition of other outlets and your district so we can discuss scope and service planning.
